Bon Musica 4/4 Shoulder Rest

Unless you are using one of the Wood violins that has addressed the fundamental problem of how a violin is held by players, the choice of a shoulder rest can be critical.  There is no universal best-solution, no one size that fits all. The Bon Musica 4/4 shoulder rest is the one that I have found is sturdy enough to handle some specific issues introduced by my playing style and instruments:

• Additional problems introduced by cable strain
• Need to plug and unplug cables when playing live
• Differing surface areas for the instruments’ underbody (contrast the Realist RV6 with the Yamaha SV-255)
